Sridip Mukhopadhyaya, also known by his nickname Shree, has multiple degrees, certifications, and serves on boards for various organizations. Sridip Mukhopadhyaya’s Education and Early Career
Before settling in the US, Sridip was in India where he received his early education and began his career. Sridip Mukhopadhyaya attended the University of Mumbai where he studied accounting and auditing. He graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. While attending university, Sridip worked as an Audit Assistant at a multinational professional services firm.
After graduating, he was hired as an Audit Manager at the company where he conducted internal audits to identify inefficiencies and suggest solutions to eliminate them. He then went on to work two other roles in the finance industry in India and Tanzania; Sridip was a Credit Analyst and Financial Controller between 2003 to 2006. He learned about working with credits and how to lead a team from these two positions.
After leaving his role as Financial Controller, Sridip Mukhopadhyaya moved to the US where he attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City. In May of 2008, Sridip graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in finance. A few months before graduation, Sridip began working as a Research Analyst for Aegon Asset Management, where he gained expertise in interdepartmental communication and management of time and risk assessments. Here, Sridip became an expert collaborator, which is essential for finance professionals.
At the start of 2012, Sridip Mukhopadhyaya became the Portfolio Manager at the same company. He contributed to the development of asset allocation strategies and co-managed specific mutual funds, variable annuities, and UMAs. Here, Sridip continued to master his collaboration skills as he worked with financial advisors to understand the needs of customers.
In 2013, Sridip Mukhopadhyaya went on to become the Finance Manager of Product Analytics for Allsteel Inc. The company is the second-largest office furniture manufacturer in the world, and Sridip was responsible for the coordination and guiding a planning process for its product portfolio that lasted three years. He prepared the product budgets and breakthrough profit targets as well as other product specific targets. During his time as the Finance Manager, Sridip hired, developed, and managed a team of financial analysts. The team was created to improve the company’s understanding of what drives results.
Sridip Mukhopadhyaya’s Recent Roles – Chicago
Following his seven years of living and working in Iowa, Sridip Mukhopadhyaya moved to Chicago, Illinois to begin working as a Manager of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) for Exelon Corp. Exelon is a Fortune 100 company that provides services across the US worth $37 billion. Sridip’s job was to lead the deployment of a business intelligence system and a team of remote software developers. He was the project manager for the development, testing, and deployment process of the new business technology. Once again, Sridip Mukhopadhyaya communicated and collaborated with the Financial Planning and Analysis team to complete the strategic planning of a rolling five-year long-range plan (LRP).
Currently, Sridip Mukhopadhyaya is the Vice President of Finance for Culture Studio in Chicago. Since 2017, he has led the annual budgeting and forecasting process for the company. Sridip has also led the creation of the three-year long-range plan as part of the strategic planning process. Sridip Mukhopadhaya continues to improve on his skills relating to the finance industry, especially project management, financial modeling, strategic planning, and process automation.
